Program and Daily Schedule

Infants

Infant daily sheets: record of when they nap, when and how much they eat, when and how long they sleep, activities they did that day, if they need anything for the next day or week. 

Assessments: Infant journals, record of accomplishments

Signing: Signing is used to help all infants communicate needs early in their development.

Toys: In the infant room, all manipulatives (toys, blocks, etc.) are cleaned and changed every two to three weeks in order to keep our children interested in new toys.

Diaper changes: Performed every two hours or as needed.


Toddlers
7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Drop off
8:30 AM to 9:00 AM   Cleanup
9:00 AM to 9:15 AM Wash hands and snack
9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Activity time: calendar activities, working with shapes
10:30 AM to 11:45 AM

Outside time and free play

11:45 AM to 12:00 PM Cleanup
12:00 PM to 12:30 PM Wash hands and lunch
12:30 PM to 12:45 PM Brush teeth
12:45 PM to 1:00 PM Reading
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Nap time
3:00 PM to 3:15 PM Wash hands and snack
3:15 PM to 4:30 PM Outside time and free play
4:30 PM to 5:00 PM Cleanup and pickup time

Field Trips: Half day Field trips are offered two or three times a year, e.g., Emery Farm for apple picking, The Pumpkin Patch or Portsmouth Children’s Museum.

Assessments: Toddlers are assessed twice a year on all development skills: gross motor, fine motor skills, cognitive skills. We have parent teacher conferences once a year or as needed.
