Stories and Testimonials Next Generation Childcare Stories
A boy, age 2˝, has been having language difficulties. We taught him and all the other children sign language. Although he still has a language difficulty, he is able to communicate using sign language to say the basics, i.e., please, help, thank you, eat, etc. He used to sign everything, but is starting to use words and has increased his vocabulary usage. We are working with the parents and Richie McFarland Children’s Center to see that he meets all developmental goals. An infant boy, age six months, started at the childcare center. He didn’t show any emotion, was without motor skills, and would just lie in one spot, all day long. He had wonderful foster parents, and after being here for just a few months, he had grown developmentally to the level of other infants his age. The staff worked with the parents and the boy, helping him to develop emotions, and teaching him motor skills. He caught on very quickly and soon became engaged in play. He is now age four. The parents adopted him, and the mother had another baby. She is caring for the two children at home, but still stops by and shares his progress with the staff on a regular basis. Next Generation Testimonials
- Erin O’Keefe, 2007 "You have all been so wonderful to our girls! It’s going to be nearly impossible to replace the care, love, and friendship that we all have received from Next Generation. Thank you for giving our girls a terrific start to their lives." -Patricia Vincent, June 26, 2006
"I would like to thank you and your staff for taking such excellent care of Ella during her time at Next Generation. We were very wary of putting Ella in childcare at first, but you and your staff made this a very positive and rewarding experience for us. Though Next Generation is not replaceable, we hope to be able to find the same quality care in Pennsylvania." -Maria Rolston, January 3, 2006
